With the Cubs trailing 2-1 with two outs in the seventh inning, Bellinger changed the game with a three-run home run off Tampa Bay reliever Garrett Cleavinger then added a single in the ninth. While the homer was his first in June, Bellinger now has four straight multi-hit efforts for a total of five in 10 contests this month. On the season, Bellinger is slashing .267/.324/.456 with nine home runs and 32 RBI in 238 plate appearances.

Bellinger went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Reds.
Bellinger reached on a two-out single in the first inning, and he then stole second and came around to score on a Dansby Swanson double. It was just Bellinger's third stolen base of the season after he swiped a career-best 20 bags last season. The 28-year-old is heating up at the dish with seven multi-hit efforts over his last 14 games, and he's accounted for all three of his steals over that stretch.

Bellinger played well, but the rest of Chicago's lineup could muster only five hits overall, which limited his ability to collect counting stats. The 28-year-old is batting .318 over his last 10 games with a home run, four runs scored and five RBI. If Bellinger gets more support from his teammates, he could really take off across the board, though he should have plenty of fantasy value either way given his ability to hit the ball over the fall and swipe a base on occasion.

Bellinger opened the scoring with a two-out solo shot off Colin Rea, giving the Cubs a 1-0 lead in the first inning with his eighth homer of the year and his first in 18 games. While he hadn't been hitting for much power, Bellinger's been seeing the ball well recently -- he has hits in six straight games, going 11-for-27 (.407) in that span, including five consecutive two-hit efforts. The 28-year-old outfielder is now slashing .267/.332/.471 with 26 RBI and 19 runs scored through 190 plate appearances this season.

The stolen base was notable because it's the first of the season for Bellinger, though he did miss some time with a fractured ribcage, which could have cut into his running. He had a career-high 20 steals last year as he reached the 20-20 plateau for the first time in seven MLB campaigns. Bellinger hasn't been quite as effective so far in 2024, though he's batting a solid .262 with a .774 OPS, and the 28-year-old has the talent to start racking up the counting stats in a hurry.
